Top Ten Simple Pleasures

After a heafty rain storm last week we had the biggest brightest rainbow out our back window. Enjoying fresh weather under a rainbow after a warm summer rain is on my top ten list of simple pleasures.

Other simple pleasures found on the list (in no particular order) are...

Eating cinnamon bears that have gotten warm and gooey in the sun

Jumping on the trampoline after a sleep out with all your blankets and pillows still heaped on board

Kissing in the rain

A perfectly roasted marshmallow

Getting a hand written letter in the mail

Sleeping under the stars (actually under them... no tent)

Blowing fish kisses on your babies pot belly

Running as fast as you can

Anonymously giving a gift

Swimming at night

I HEART Date Night!

This is me standing on my soap box to give a small shout out for date night. Do it... it's fun!

Oh the fun of an empty basement

I often wonder why we buy our children toys because they seem to have the most fun with odd things around the house.... or in this case an the house itself. Damon loves to run around and play in our unfinished basement.

Months ago we went out for ice cream with our niece Aedyn and played this happy cactus pinball game in the arcade above the ice cream parlor. Turns out it was one of her favorite outings because she asked to go back for her birthday.... so here we are.

Twins in Town

Damon's cute twin cousins came for a visit and well... as usual Damon wanted to be just like them. If they could sit in the bouncer so could he.

If they could play with the elephant mobile so could he. The best part is... he climbed in there all by himself.

Although he does like to be a big boy and hold them now and again.

Besties

I'm pretty lucky to have so many wonderful friends in my life. Here are four of my besties after a going away BBQ for Kori. The silly girl moved to Chicago.

Summer Cold

Damon got one of those pesky summer colds... and well... what better thing to do when you have a cold than put on a comfy robe, turn on the TV, and lounge on the couch?

Cousins

Darren's parents have a time share in Park City and this year we were lucky enough to have everyone there. Here is a picture of all Damon's fun cousins.

Damon's 1st Swim

You'd never guess that just moments before this picture was taken there were fearful tears in Damon's eyes. It really didn't take him long to warm up to the whole swimming idea. I think he was just a bit confused that there were so many people in such a big bath tub. That can be frightening for anyone at any age. ;)
