Let's Go Fly a Kite!

Damon and I watched a cartoon where they flew a kite and naturally he wanted to try it.  So... we headed to the dollar store and bought a kite.  We came home, put it together and headed straight to the back yard. Turns out... ha ha... that I have never flown a kite and had no clue what i was doing.

Needless to say, we had to wait for dad to get home to show us the ropes.

Farm boy... well... we can pretend

Dancin Dancin Dancin...

He came up with this next pose all on his very own...  no joke!

Idaho Fun

Nothin like a brotherly pajama 4-wheeler ride first thing in the morning.

He was so happy we let him have it... problem was... he just couldn't figure out how to get that yummy pink stuff out.

Poor Gracie... sometimes the little old dog just puts up with too much

Just another day at the office

Oh what fun a laundry bin can be... as long as you have someone willing to push you around like your a race car. :)

It's been so fun to see the boys interact and play now that Davis is getting older.

Davis' Helmet

We really lucked out with such a good baby!  He doesn't seem to mind his helmet at at all.  The Dr. warned us that most babies cry and even freak out when he puts the helmet on for the first time.  It wasn't much of a surprise that Davis didn't even make a peep when the doc strapped him in to his new head accessory.

Volleyball...

Here's the cute little man in his Green Bay Packers helmet.

Grandpa and Davis are buddies.

Davis has quite the singing voice.  By quite I mean loud and... well... unique. :)  He was getting grandma and grandpa to laugh pretty hard with his rendition of Another One Bites the Dust.

Damon LOVES mascots of any kind so it was pretty cool the BYU Cougar made fast friends with him.

Snow Drifts...again

Ok, these should be the last snow drifts of the season. :)

Snow Day

It's a good day when that is what you see out the back window!  We all love a good snow day.  Darren stayed home from work to enjoy the fun.

I never was much good at steering a sled... I'm pretty sure I crashed us into the fence every time.

The snow was so powdery it would blow into your eyes as you were sledding down.  Damon got smart enough to rectify the problem. :)

This is Damon trying to figure out what this HUGE mound of snow is... turns out, it was a tumble weed.

What a good little helper

Turns out Damon can carry the laundry down the stairs :)

BYU Volleyball

In his high school and college days Darren was quite the Volleyball player... so it's always fun when we can catch a good game.  Turns out Damon really enjoys groovin' to the music during the match.  You'll notice the stairs next to him in the bottom picture... ya, that's his "Dancing Area" where one can watch his array of jumps, spins, stalls, etc.

Let the fun begin...

Davis has a condition called Torticollis where one of his neck muscles was shorter on one side.  Thus, his range of motion was limited.  With a limited range of motion he naturally always looked to the left and slept on the left side of his head.

Luckily my mom noticed this when he was about 2 weeks old.  Since then we've been working with our pediatrician and doing special stretches to lengthen the other muscle.  Unfortunately the problem wasn't corrected before it caused Plagiocephaly (essentially a wonky shaped head).  Turns out if you always lay down on the same spot of your head and grow at an insanely rapid pace you're head won't grow quite as round as it should. :)

Anyway, long story short, Davis will be getting a helmet to correct his head shape and we'll be back to normal in no time.  This is a picture of him at the Dr. getting his head scan to be fitted for his helmet.

snow drifts

You're probably sick of all the snow drift pictures... but Darren and I can't get over the fact that this is what ends up in our driveway after a storm.  It looks so cool.
