Kid's Say the Darndest Things

Darren and Damon ran a quick errand in the car... and well... Damon has a hard time staying awake while driving. In efforts to keep Damon up and at-em Darren asked him what he saw on the 'Big Signs' by the road. Here is what followed:

Darren: Damon what do you see on that sign?

Damon: Yellow one car!

Darren: Damon what do you see on that sign?

Damon: Big one house!

Darren: Damon what do you see on that sign?

Damon: Blue!

Darren: Damon what do you see on that sign?

Damon: Red one car!

Darren: Damon what do you see on that sign?

Damon: LUNCH!

If I didn't know any better I'd think this was the same little boy.

It just so happens Damon gets his good looks from Grandpa Haub. :)

Oh Damon

Damon decided to sit in his bench instead of on top.

Since I had the camera out I decided to snap a quick picture of him out of the bench.

First I got a cute one. Then, as he was reaching for the camera begging to take a picture by himself I got this crazy awful yet SO FUNNY one. Oh my, I could not stop laughing!

Damon LOVES to 'fix it' with Dad. Any project that requires tools is right at the top of the list.

Notice the toy hammer on the ground as Damon uses an adult size mallet. The best part is he actually did a good job all by himself this time.

Tiny Thompsons Come to Town!

I know I've said this before... but really why do we buy toys? Just throw all the kids in a laundry basket and push em' around. Endless entertainment for them and exercise for you (if you're the one pushing). Really, I just watched while Andi did the manual labor.

And when you get tired let them push themselves.

Hanging out with Uncle D... and the coveted birthday balloon (the hottest "toy" of the weekend).

I can't resist a good bath picture. It just so happens this time I took it before they made it to the actual bath. Oops!

p.s. At what age is a dimply bum no longer cute?

Just the Beginning!

If you know Damon you know he doesn't get a lot of treats. One day I decided to be such a nice mom and buy him his very own donut at the grocery store.

He more than loved it!

Now every time I tell him we're going to the store he says... "Donut?"

Sunday Fun

They obviously had different motives for these next two pictures. Damon wanted to give a hug and a kiss, while Aedyn just wanted Damon to look at the darn camera and smile. Too funny.

1st Class Sledding

We went "sledding" with Jena and her girls. We pulled them behind the 4-wheeler and you would have thought we'd put on a circus act with how much fun they were having! Jena and I could not stop laughing at the giggly bunch.

After a pretty good spill into the mud and tumble weeds they were all more than ready to come in.

Hmmmm...

Somehow this would be so much cuter if he were a girl.

He was so proud that he could walk around in mom's shoes... and anyone that wears heels knows your first stroll is no easy feat.

We'll try to stick to Dad's shoes from now on.

Jazz vs. Knicks

We met Kjo for a Jazz / Knicks game. Damon really does enjoy basketball... he was just a little worn out by the time we got around to taking this picture.

And A LOT worn out by the time we got to this one. Needless to say... we didn't make it to the end of the game.
